I hope you can take a moment to pop over to the Altered Pages Artsociates blog today and check out my newest project. It's a table decoration for a birthday party.
Today I have a greeting card / artist trading card combo to share with you. This beautiful Geisha stamp is the perfect focal point. Her face was on two separate plates of stamps. She if full-size on the Asian Ambience set and slightly smaller on the (now retired) All That Great Stuff plate of stamps. Links to the products used can be found at the bottom of this post.
I started with a 12x12 sheet of Asian Writings scrapbook paper for the background. The paper has a splash of red on it, which I matched to a sheet in one of the Glitz paper pads. Two Asian fans were stamped on the red. The Asian Writings sheet also has random muted blue splashes, which I matched to another Glitz paper. Dragonflies and a vase of flowers were stamped on the blue. I also chose an ivory paper from Glitz which has the barest design on it and used that for the Geishas.
A trio of dragonflies were stamped on the background paper in a matching red and the wings were touched up with a colored pencil in a matching blue. Both colors were also used on the Geisha to pull all of the elements together.
I hope you like them! Until next time, Happy stamping!
